Cookie Go Day

It's almost Cookie Go Day.  Do you know what that means?  Yes, lots of Girl Scout cookies are going to be all over the house!  Both of my sisters are Girl Scouts, Natalie is a Cadette and Rachel is a junior.  They have big goals this year and hope to sell many packages.  They can start selling on Saturday, February 15.  I wish them lots of luck!

Winter 2019

It’s been a long winter so far this year!  We’ve had many days of frigid temps and missed days of school.  Luckily my family takes good care of me.  They even turn the fireplace on so I can lay right in front to stay toasty warm!  I am getting older but I still play like a kitten. My favorite thing to do is curl up in a box. Stay warm and here’s hoping springtime comes quick!

It Won't Be Long Now!

This was taken a couple weeks ago but it won't be long now and we'll be living here!  Our move in date is November 17 and we couldn't be more happy!  Last weekend we met the buyers of our Lincoln Park house.  They were the most delightful people EVER!  I am so blessed that this whole process has been such a win for everyone. 

We're moving!

This is our new house at Crosby Heights in Inver Grove Heights.

Currently it is being built and should be done in early November.

Our Lincoln Park house has been purchased and we are eagerly awaiting the move!

Santa Came Early!!

It was Thanksgiving and we were all gathered at Emilie and Sam's house when we heard Santa Claus ringing his bells.  He arrived a little early on this year but the kids had fun telling him what they wanted and getting a new plush animal.  As usual, Santa is always mysterious and we are so surprised to see him!  Thank you so much Santa Claus!

My family took 10 days away from me to go to the cabin.  They all had a wonderful time!  I had a nice visit with Glennys as she took care of me and my family's house during their trip.  I'm so glad they are back!  It is much too quiet here without them.

Santa Strikes Again!

For the 5th year in a row, Santa has come to visit these kids.  This time we were at the Lecompte's house celebrating Uncle Sam's 35th birthday.  What a surprise!!  Santa is so awesome!  The girls all sang a song to him from their church choir.  These kids know it's going to be Jesus' birthday soon and what the true meaning of Christmas is!!

Update...the year is almost over!

Look at how much these kids have grown this year!  It's crazy how time flies!  These kiddos got to spend one last fall day at the orchard.  Uncle Gary and Aunt Alice have decided to retire the apple orchard so it will not be the same.  The apple trees will still be there but it won't be run as it has been all these years.  No more playground, no more "How Tall This Fall", no more feeding goats and hayrides.  I know that we have all been blessed with such fun memories at the orchard including Natalie's 3rd birthday party and Granny and Papa working there.  It will be missed.  We love you lots, Apple Junction!!!

Bible Sunday

Natalie recieved her Kindergarten Bible this past Sunday in church.  She and Pastor Katie are so proud!

All the kids sang Jesus Loves Me!  Natalie is always excited to sing in the choir.

What's New So Far in 2014

It's been a super cold winter this year!  We took time out on one of the warmer nights to see the ice sculptures in Rice Park.  How silly to sit in an ice chair in freezing temps!!

Rachel started gymnastics at Central Square.  She really enjoys it and it's going to be a fun 8 weeks.  Natalie has decided to take swimming lessons in the pool at the same time.  She is doing so well and will be taking the next session once this one is done.

First Days

Natalie started Kindergarten this fall.  She has Mrs. Francis and has many friends in her class.

Rachel started preschool this year.  She has Mrs. Smith and Mrs.O'Brien.  She really enjoys going to the kids' gym and meeting new friends.
